Sorry, this item has been discontinued. The manufacturer has stopped production of all detectors. The replacement detectors from a USA-based manufacturer are called "Vapor Tracer" & "Itemiser", cost twice the price, but are more accurate and offer both Ion and Organic for bomb, weapons and drugs!

The GVD6 which incorporates the latest techniques for explosives detection, has been designed to utilise the advanced IMS technology

This easy to use equipment is operated by trained personnel to perform sophisticated checks with considerable accuracy and will act as an invaluable aid in the detection and location of explosive devices. This system provides a greater sensitivity and selectivity, and the option of a needle probe permits accurate searching of packages and baggage. Our Research and Development Department has placed particular emphasis on improving sensitivity with greater selectivity. The unit is aesthetically pleasing, ergonomically designed and extremely reliable.

The equipment is housed in an executive briefcase and is completely self contained, with a filter unit and rechargeable battery housed within the briefcase.

Controls

All the operation controls are very easy to understand and are touch sensitive.
The 40 character LCD readout provides the operator with general information including comprehensive fault diagnosis available to him/her in any one of a number of languages.
Languages available are English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic.

Operation

With the hand unit removed from the case touch the “on” button. The unit is normally ready for use in under 2 minutes.
Within this time the operator can enter any changes that are required in threshold and language select.
